Here is a handful of favorites that were taken recently at a local park… Thanks Jana for a fun shoot! I like the bright, natural lighting, and we were really loving the greenness:) I always try to edit as minimally as possible, but I really liked some of these shots in black and white, with a little bit of edge blur to draw the eye into the frame. Comments/critiques appreciated, as usual:)

Took a nice bunch of photos yesterday… many thanks to my lovely model, Jo! I was attempting to play around with soft, darker lighting… kind of a challenge, but I'm learning.

Engagement Pics

I'm in Wyoming on my way to the photography workshop in Utah. Here are a few engagement photos I took for my sister and her fiance a couple of days ago. We actually started later than I normally would have wanted to… but I really like how the lighting turned out! Now I know that shoots when it's overcast and later in the day can actually work…:)

Welcome… to my amazing and exciting blog;). Photography has always been something I've enjoyed, but over the last couple of years it's really become one of my favorite hobbies. I haven't taken any photography courses (yet). I have a ton to learn! So any comments or suggestions would really be appreciated. Here are a handful of photos from this past spring and summer. There are a bunch more photos to come. A week and a half from now I'll be in Utah for a photography workshop. I'll be posting a lot of photos from that. So stay tuned…
